This past weekend in Jackson, SC, the 1st Ecklers National Corvette Challenge was held. It was a bracket drag race that included some of the best drivers from the East Coast Corvette Challenge in New Jersey and the Florida Corvette Challenge. It was a huge success. I have been asked to help organize a challenge in the Carolinas. The two series listed above are 10 race series that are run each year with one race per month February through November. I am looking to see if there is enough interest in the southeast to start a Carolina Corvette Challenge bracket drag racing series that will most likely start in May. If your interested please post here and you will be kept up to date on this issue.
PLEASE keep me up to date on your progress with this... you can definitely count on some of the members of Capitol City Corvette Club to show up - we'll help you get the word out if you let us know the dates/times, etc.
I had such a great time at the Eckler's Challenge. I want more!
You'd better stock up on propane... :D I think that a Carolina Challenge would be a great idea. I don't have any interest in running but my wife may. It would be a good way to bring together a lot of the clubs in the Carolinas too.
Not yet... instead of rushing to make the 25th show, I decided to just take my time and do all the things I want to do while the old motor is out. Do some detailing in the engine compartment, etc.
I do want to run at Jackson a few times also... hopefully at a Corvette Challenge in February 2005
