I was thinking that if it was just a few of us Penninsula types, we could explore some new roads up in Charles City County.

Maybe do it early! Sunday AM

If we had some southsiders, I was going to suggest a trip across the Cheaspeake Bay Tunnel and up the eastern shore on some backroads, I have done a few and they are cool!

Level 1 = Speed limit + 7

Level 2 = 80 mph tops, some limited triple digits depending on road and traffic conditions

Level 3 = triple digits whenever possible! Safety first!

I have a chili cook-off I am entered in at one o'clock. Early Sunday might work or at least I could meet you at the starting point and introduce myself. I'm on-call so I have to stay in town (Norfolk; I have to be able to get to Norfolk General Hospital within 30 minutes). :( I'll check Saturday night and see if the plan turns out to be local (no eastern-shore or Yorktown)

How about 11 AM at the BK on J Clyde by Route 17, the usual one! from there we can have a little fun on I 64 to 199, on to Route 5 and there are a lot of interesting backroads in Charkes City :D :D :D

If we leave around 11, we should be home around 3

Going back to sleep now :D

:D I hard wired the detector in today and got it up behind the windshield.

Truth be known, the last couple of runs back and forth to Richmond got me thinking about running without the detector. Someone told me that at 120, you go to jail! Is that true? ANYWAY!

I think I would rather face a $ 250 fine for the detector than who knows what for 40 to 50 mph over the limit! :rolleyes: :smash: :bb

Anyway, I'll have the "traffic condom" on and working tomorrow :D
