Need Atlanta Auto Show information

Atlanta! I’m planning to fly in on Friday March 12 to see the new Vette at your auto show, and I’ve got a few questions:

Should I rent a car at the airport, take a cab, or is there public transportation to the convention site? How long is the ride?

Is there a web site that has information about the show? (times, etc.)

Is there anything that a non-local needs to know before coming?

Friend,
You can fly into Hartsfield Airport and take MARTA (public transit rail system) to The Georgia Dome/Philips Arena/GWCC (Ga World Congress Center). It will be about a 45 minute ride. I think the cost is $1.75 each way. That will be the best bet for you. The station is indoors at the airport and the other station is only a couple hundred yards walk from the GWCC. :cheers:

Do we know for sure that the C6 is going to be there? I was going to the show in NYC but will make ATL if it's going to be there.

New York is scheduled to have the coupe and vert April 10-18. Atlanta is supposed to have the coupe. All this is from a posting from Rick @ Les Stanford, a supporting dealer.

Unfortunately, that info is about the 2003 show. Thanks for the tips about the mass transit! That will be very helpful. Keep me posted if you get any extra relevant info.

I'll just be in town for the day. I can arrive at 10:10am, spend the day and then depart at 7:20 or 10:45 pm. There should be enough to see and do at the show so that the late departure will work best. The round trip from Wichita is only $187, so the whole trip is not too expensive since I don't need a hotel room.

I need show times for March 12, and verification that the C6 will be there.

this is a big show for gm. im sure the c6 will be there. they even bring all the prototypes to this show. i will see what i can find out.

I've confirmed that the C6 coupe will be at Atlanta (from the corvette.com site). Does anyone know the hours of the show on March 12?
