I sold my car today and just wanted to say thanks to all the great people on the forum.
I have enjoyed meeting dozens of nice, friendly, helpful people.
I would like to single out Jack and Jo-Anne and Steve and Julie as well as Ron and a few others I cant remember.
I wish I could have attended more events the past year or so, but that was my problem. I checked my inspection reciept today and saw that I only drove 843 miles since LAST July!!!!
Thats not even enough to keep the fluids warm!!!
The cruises and get togethers were fantastic, and perhaps in a couple years you will see me again, in a mid-year tagging along with ya, but for now, I have an urge to bank some cash in preperation for an early retirement, and to enjoy my 1st love, boating and fishing.

First love - boating and fishing??? I'm with you bud! I love the rush I get driving the Corvette but it is nothing compared to the boat and the pull on the line when I've outsmarted a fish is so cool/ The Vette goes before the boat here too!! Happy retirement and we hope you get anotherr opportunity to own a Vette again soon!!!
Re: Thanks for the good times...time to say goodbye (mike85mph)
Thanks guys.
Jack... you certainly havent lost a friend at all. As a matter of fact, some day I may appear at your BACK door and invite you for a boat ride...lol
I hope you guys didnt misunderstand the retirement thing :D
I am tryiny to "prepare" for early retirement :D
I was hoping 55 was the magic number (next year), but the economy and my 401K says maybe not.
Another consideration is a small home at the lake, but the only way I can swing that is to continue working :(
The boat is such an attract because there are NO speed limits on the lake, and it really IS a rush to travel from spot to spot at 70 mph +
As mentioned earlier... I feel that I have made several addition friends since being on the forum, and that is what I miss the most :(
I am surprised that I have NOT regretted seeing the Veet go, but I AM excited about seeing my bank account grow :D
I am still LURKING :jester on the forum, so I havent dissapeared yet :D
Once finances sort themselves out for me, and the economy oicks up, I may very well be in the market for a "classic" corvette...1966 or 67.
Ill be on the lookout for you guys as you pass by Winchester on your way to Carlilse. Heck... you might even SEE me there....wandering trough the corral. :seeya

I saw your Vette at Jack's on Valley Avenue the other day going through town. Did you sell it to him or Steve? Either way I'm sure it won't last long there.
