ABC local news story: a CORVETTE [emphasis NOT added] cut off a SUV driver sending his vehicle over the skyway bridge. His son (who was also in the vehicle) pulled him to safety from the water. St. Pete police are still looking for the CORVETTE that MAY have been responsible.
Re: [Misfits] Tampa Area Cops looking for Corvette (Chris@VetteFinders)
Not wanting to post anything mean about either party here, but we all know how unstable the SUV's are. Again, I don't know all the facts of this story, but I have seen a lot of people driving SUV's like they were sports cars.
I hope the family is ok.

Not me...I was in Stranded in Ft. Myers with a dead alternator...on the vette!!! :mad I have reciepts :D .
Buddy of mine called me about it though. The internet story read that the DFB was changing lanes to "pass a SLOWER MOVING Corvette  ."
Huum...Ford SUV passing a Vette...thats one for the books.
It also said the vette driver changed lanes as the SUV tried to pass. Wonder if the driver even saw the truck as they changed lanes? I also wondered if they were changing lanes to get out of the way when the SUV did the same action.
Either way, if the driver saw it, they should have stopped. Really hope it was not an intentional act.
Also, has anyone seen or heard the police place a description of the phantom vette yet. With all the jumper video they have on the bridge and it's approaches, I'm sure FHP or whoever worked it would have some information by now.
Glad everyone made it out ok though. The kid sounds like a tough one... :flag
