Default [Race City Gang] Why weeknights?

I was wondering..... the last Shroom get-together was on a Thursday. The one I heard about before I had my car was.... on a Thursday.

Does the gang ever get together on the weekends? I was thinking like lunch (or brunch if you prefer) on a Saturday, someplace like the Harris Grill or something....

Anyway.... Just thought I would ask.

The Race City Gang originally met at the Tuesday night Cruise-ins at Bucko's restaurant in Mooresville. Last year when Bucko's decided to quit hosting a cruise-in, we decided to move the Gang down towards Charlotte and out of habit kept it a week night. I personally like the monthly cruise-ins during the week, but that shouldn't stop us from scheduling additional activities for the weekends!! Propose something and see what kind of response you get.

Thanks for the replies gents...

The biggest reason I asked is that the wife doesn't really like going out on weeknights and I would like to get her to come to a couple of events.

I imagine that the get-togethers will go a bit better once the weather warms up a bit, fewer folks under the weather and all.

Now, as to events, I haven't a clue! Although I have lived here for going on 5 years now, I haven't really gotten out much :p: I don't have a clue where to go for "spirited" ride or what places do the Cruise-ins etc but I will be sure to keep my eyes open!

Although I have liver here for going on 5 years now,
Liver!?! :U :D Events well it would be nice if we could get some track time in somewhere. I've been following the SMC (Smokey Mountain Cruisers) threads above this one in the SE section. They have some interesting events going on in the next couple months that would be fun to do. When the weather gets warmer it would be fun to try white water rafting or perhaps a cruise to the beach. Maybe we could try & do some drag racing? There are lots of good cruises at this website to think about... http://www.scenicdrivesonline.com/

There's also the Autofair at the speedway & the CF Cruise-In in May.

The only problem that I have with Hooters is that the food sucks.

Hey Chris where did Neal say that he could get a killer deal on the HID conversion? Where again did you get yours and what did ya pay? Any suggestions, I'm looking to do this upgrade within the next few weeks.

You'd have to ask Neal about that. I got mine from a forum vendor. I wouldn't go through them again. I paid in the $750-$800 range including the Euro headlamps.
