Trying to get an idea around Vette Fest.
I understand the gates don’t open until 10.
There is a Main Street parade scheduled at 3.
Does the parade typically conclude the event?
My group is heading up at 7:15. 2hr drive for us.
9:15 - 9:30 arrival ok for a half way decent parking spot?
Do people typically line up early?
Appreciate hearing from those who have gone before.

I went last year and it was a mess. Open at
10.00 and not earlier. Vettes backed up
everywhere. Not sure I will waste my time
this year.

I guess nothing changed, in the past when it first started, it was very organized with local club got together, and they Friday night party with theme to dress up, and gates opened at 0900 hrs with over 400 Corvettes showing up and Valve cover racing, lot of fun for all.

I was there three years ago, and like won't waste the drive North, plus Hotel for two nights, didn't think it was worth it.

Things have changed and not for the better.
At one time NCRS and big promoters held
Corvette shows at Ol Town. Now not so much.
I went back and looked in my case and found a
2014 Corvette trophy that looked like a 427 BB.
There were Corvettes all over the place but everywhere
was order. You drove right in found your parking spot and enjoyed a
great day. Now everyone is in a bad mood before they find a
place to park.

Unbelievable - their website still says “weather permitting”.
A bit more clarification would have been nice.
Multiple posts on FB with people asking WTFIGO?
My Club had about a dozen members going.
Right decision made to cancel the caravan.
Orlando/Kissimmee hit hard with flooding.
Roads/infrastructure has to be a mess and they’re still saying “weather permitting”!

I think I would pass this year, if you not staying the night, why not call local Motel next to old town and ask if there open and what's the damages they might have, and are they taking RSVP, will give you idea.
What I seen on TV like you doesn't look good.

Some areas are flooded. Could not get in touch with Hampton Inn near there. Kissimmee was hit pretty hard. cancelled my Hotel even though it was a non-refundable payment. Hilton gave me refund, due to them bot being able to contact hotel either.
