We would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to our 4th Annual Race for the Kids. This annual event will be held on February 9, 2002 and all the proceeds will benefits The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
We will be hosting several events and awarding trophies. Come join in this fun and festive event so that your participation may bring smiles to these childrens faces. Last year Breathless Performance really out did themselves at their 3rd Annual Shootout. The event joined together Corvette enthusiasts, Viper, F-Body, Impala SS and others wanting to test their skills, speed, and courage on the track.
Trophies were awarded from First Place to Third Place in several categories from Stock to Modified to Unlimited. Race times were highly impressive with times ranging from 14.45 for the LT-1 L98 Corvette in the category of Stock to the Best Time out on the track for King Of The Hill at 9.12.
Not forgetting to mention my buddies who definitely lacked attendance to last years event. That would be the infamous Viper Owners. Last year only two maybe three participated and the others not dared to head to the track. We are hoping to lure the Vipers out to the track so that the controversy of who really owns the road and track for that matter can be put to rest. We promise not to laugh
Hope to see everyone out there!!!!!

Re: (BreathlessPerformance.com) (VNAMVET)
100% after we pay the expenses like the track rental and trophies. We devote our time and effort for free. Track rental is about 4750.00 plus trophies between 600.00 to 800.00
That is why we need about 45 cars just to break even. Last year the track let us do the food court and we were able to generate some additional donations for the charity.
This year the track said no that they want to handle the food court which leaves us on relying only on the racers, spectators and the silent auction to be able to generate money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Hopefully with all your help we can give this year.
Thank You, Ernie

Re: (BreathlessPerformance.com) (VNAMVET)
I urge all to come out and attened, this is a great event and is very generous of Ernie and all who donate their time to help. We have a 7 year old nephew with Cystic Fibrosis and it is a 100% fatal disease. Unlike aids, that gets all the celebrity $ and press (and is preventable!) CF hits the innocents that are born with it. So come and help....the $ is well spent!

Thanks you for sharing your family with us. We also within our Company have an Employee whos family member was born with CF.
Last year we chose the The Cancer Society for Children. My mother has suffered with Cancer for many years.
Every year we have decided to chose a different Organization because we feel that awareness is the key to give those affected by whatever illness a better chance to live a happier life. :)
We hope that this event whether it raises $500 or a million dollars, be a day were all the children who attend forget for that day they are sick.
So let's go party everyone!!!!

Re: (BreathlessPerformance.com) (BreathlessPerformance.com)
Unfortunately I can't promise that I will be able to attend this event as a participant due to some mechanical issues Im having with my car. It will be 2-3 weeks before I'm back on the road and I'm really disapointed.. :(
If someone would take my place as a participant it would be great!! These kids of CF need our help..Ernie is doing his best to make this a success and I wish him all the luck in his effort. I WILL be there as a spectator for support!:yesnod!
Someone step up and take my place..The kids need the particpation and it's a fun day!! I've been to the previous three and I promise you will have a great time!:D

I am going to be there but I am not sure about racing. Money has been tight lately but I'll try my best to come up with the fee to race.
