Default OFFICIAL Talladega vettes4vets 2021

Talladega track day is May 29, 2021. Many here registered for the May 2020 event which was postponed to Labor day 2020 which got moved to May 2021. I rolled my 2020 prepay into 2021 as most of the regulars here did. Thought I'd start a thread for the new guys that we pick up every year. Registration at the link below. As always, a huge thanks to Hendrick Chevrolet in Hoover Al for picking up the tab to rent the track, vettes4vets personel and track management for their commitment in continuing this great charity fundraiser. We'll see you all in '21

Wow what a weekend! Can't thank everyone that ran in the Corvette Forum group enough because y'all are just good people. The regulars well your like brothers to me and 3 years was just to darn long to not get together! The new guys even thought I didn't get to visit with Charlie Bradley I did get to run behind you in one of the sessions. My bad for not taking the time to introduce myself. David Medina it was a pleasure to meet you and your girlfriend/wife sorry I forgot her name but hopefully y'all had a good time. Larry what can I say it truly was a pleasure and you have one of the cleanest C5Z's I've ever seen!! Clint hopefully Clemson and LSU will meet again where the beer bet will be on the table again. I took over 1050 pictures and edited down to 390 and will be posting here and will start a new thread just with pictures soon. Hope everyone made it home safely and will be looking forward to next years event!!

I was able to move my hotel reservation to the new date. Funny thing, the 2021 date is cheaper for me.
Original price was $140. After I transferred the reservation it was $90. 1 night 2 queen bed standard room. The "corvette group" discount didnt seem like much of a discount when I first called. $140 seemed pretty high for an area with no population.

Ask for the "manager's rate" at Pell City Hampton. $90 sounds about right.

Happy New Year to all!! I'm fixing to reach out to the organizers with our group to make sure we are still set for this years event. We can all hope things will get better before May of this year.

Thanks Kenny for registering. I'll add you shortly. For the rest of our group Robert Sebring has prior commitments and can't make this years event. I contacted Graig Gifford and he was able give Ken a heads up we needed him to get registered so Mark Davis could add him to our group. Thanks again Ken for signing up!!

Some shots from the 2018 event. I really feel this years event will be the best I've attended and I've been to every event in 3 different cars!!

Very interested in participating in this. One question I have is how fast does the safety car let you get up to? I'm sure the experience would be fun, but if I can't get the car above 150 or better it's not near as appealing.

The pace vehicle runs between 80/90mph. We can't post speeds on any media but I can tell you from experience you will not be disappointed plus you have to remember this is a great fund raiser for a very good cause and not a race. I've seen quite a few people sent out the gate for doing dumb things. If you get in a good group you'll have a great time.

I'm not looking to be a trouble maker at all, just hoping I'd get to drive quite a bit faster than what I can get away with on the highway. Even getting to drive on the track would be fun, as well as meeting a group of Vette owners in the area. You'll most likely see me there. Now I just have to figure out how to get both of my kids down there with me

No sir I never thought nothing about it at all because we get the same question asked a lot so no worries!! I have some YouTube videos from previous years posted and I think they are under my name (Tim LeGros) so check them out if you get a chance. You'll meet some really folks from all over the eastern half of the US. Now as far as the kids go don't know what to tell you brother!!!

Jeremie, you'll have fun at this event . . . what an incredible experience!!! I'm in that 2018 group photo posted above and it was my first time at Talladega. I've been waiting almost three highly anticipated years now to get back on the track. I don't think you will be disappointed.
