My wife and I will be taking a road trip in the spring and stopping in both New Orleans and Nashville. Can you guys please recommend hotels in both locations that have a good covered parking situation? I'd obviously rather not valet park, and ideally I'd like to be able to park in a garage that's covered.

Other hotel amenities aren't so important

W New Orleans on chartles street. One block over from bourbon street, great view and the interior design is super slick.

I'd say the Westin New Orleans, nice garage that you can get in and out of easily. Of course I've stayed almost everywhere around the Quarter, if its valet in a garage you should be fine. My personal preference for hotels though is the Sonesta on Bourbon.

In Spring in New Orleans, check the festival schedule. You're better off staying when there is a festival that weekend.

In Nashville I prefer the Loews Vanderbilt, but there are a few on the West side along Broadway that are just fine.

I know you said no valet, but we always stay at the Intercontinental for Saints games. I take care of the valets and they have always taken care of my cars.

In Nashville, the Omni Hotel is awesome.
