Looks a lot like a MC12.

Apparently this particular car in the video below was at Pebble Beach last weekend.

Along with this one.

They had the Trofeos on the undercard at last year's VIR ALMS race.

I'm still a little confused. According to the ticket site the Corvette Corral is only on Friday.

Does this mean there will not be a group section for Corvettes on Saturday and Sunday?

Well ****. I just refreshed my browser and it looks like they stopped selling them at midnight. I will call in the AM and see if I can still get in. That's what I get for procrastinating.

Ralph....Pretty sure the corral pass is for Friday-Sunday (and your park in the corral depending on what days you got passes for). Saturday you do laps between races if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry you missed the deadline. Next time click "Buy" and you'll see all the options offered; 1-2-3 Day, just car & driver, or car, driver & passenger...

Cheers,
JB

I called this morning, they said tough luck but I can still buy a general admission ticket at the gate.

Do you have to have a wrist band to even enter into the Corral area where the cars are? I know that they have a hospitality area and I would be excluded from that. Just wondering if I would be able to walk into the corral area to look at the cars.

You should not have any trouble walking into the corral area without a wrist ban. To park there you will need a sticker for the windshield.
You maybe able to get in the tent with out a wrist band, have seen it done, but they do check when they are doing the lunch on Sat. Some of the general admission parking is closer to the paddock than the corral.

I never pay to park in the Corral. I get there early on Sunday morning and set up somewhere on the straight between turn 6 and the bridge. I'm usually early enough to park right next to the rope that limits how close you can park to the track. I'll be the middle-aged guy under an olive-green pop-up.

My car:

Stop by and say hello.

Not sure I can fit my canopy in the convertible, so look for me by some stranger's Olive Green canopy between turn 6 and the bridge

Either that or those chairs with the attached umbrellas. There isn't enough sunscreen in Virginia to keep you from getting burnt.

Sure, why not?

If you are not escaping the sun under the Corral tent, bringing your own is an excellent idea.

Go Corvette Racing!

Cheers,

No there will be a big tent for the members who have the CORVETTE Corral tickets, it is a blast. This will be my third year here....best money spent for a race. Going in early tomorrow, it rained tonight like a cow pissing on a flat rock so it will be messy tomorrow for sure. Hopefully I will not be plowing with my Z06.
