It is a problem for the Sun N Fun but we do not anticipate 150,000 - 200,000 people.

Oh boy
For a moment there I thought I'd have a heart attack when I read "no longer in Kissimmee". My wife and I booked our flights from Europe weeks ago.
I barely remember Lakeland, having driven through the area a few times. Sounds good about the convenient location though. But I don't believe my wife would be too happy, if we booked a local hotel or motel. In Kissimmee we used to stay in a nice resort and we both loved it (being Swiss tourists). Lakeland seems to be a bit bland and not the first choice for a vacation, or am I mistaken?
What do you guys think? Should we stay in Kissimmee for the duration of the meeting? That's what I'm leaning towards. Or would it be completely crazy to consider even staying in Clearwater at the beach and drive? Google maps tells me it would be about an hour plus or so. But the big G has been known to lie
Your thoughts guys?
Oh... the Swap Meet will be part of the whole event, right? I got a huge shopping list.
Thanks
Martin

Commuting from Kissimmee to Lakeland should be pretty easy.

I love Lakeland. I get out there once a week maybe every other week, and it just beautiful.
Did I miss the date and time of the event or are you sending out notifications?

The event is NOT on the Forum schedule of events for 2015 as the software will not allow 2015 events to be listed. Can a moderator open the 2015 calendar so the event can be listed.

Starting my count down, before we know it, we will be on the road!

Kinda liked Old Town but I understand the need for more room. We had already booked our rooms based on the Old Town location so we will be "commuting" to the new location.
Are there any restaurants or other things to do in the new location?

At the I-4 exit there is a BBQ joint that is great...on the south side of the exchange across from the Love's truck stop...anyone looking to have a little racing fun, Lakeland drag strip is about 10 minutes away...1/8 mile track...
