Cammed car in NC
Looking into a cam for my c5 z06, but I'm a little concerned with how the car feels with a bigger cam. The only cammed car I've been in was hardly bigger than z06 specs, so it didn't feel much different. Anyone near the Raleigh area with a cammed c5 (not too aggressive, looking at the 228r or torquer v2, so around that same size) that would be willing to take me for a ride? Preferably a 6 speed car as that way it will feel more similar to mine. I really just don't want to do the work and end up hating the results. Thanks in advance guys!

Mine is a mid-range cam, 234/238 .602/.604 112 LSA. But it's in a fully-built LS3-based stroker motor. If the weather is nice I'm planning on going to the Cars & Coffee at the Raleigh Grande this Saturday. There will probably be a range of Corvettes there. Also, give HorsepowerJunkies.com a look. It's a local all-makes board.

I like the concept of hp junkies, but a bunch of the guys there seem way too aggressive and almost hateful towards anything they don't agree with. Scares me from wanting to join the board

It's definitely an edgier, younger crowd than CF. They don't put up with BS or pretense like you often see here. If you try to present yourself as someone you're not, they'll see right through that.

Cam in 22x range will not have any driveability issues as long as tuned correctly. Will have a little shake at idle. RPM in Garner is a good place for tune/install.
