Default Louisville Mechanic

I go between Owensboro, KY and Louisville, KY a lot. I am looking to get some cams, headers and exhaust put on my 2011 vette. Since most of the time I work in Louisville I am trying to find a place in Louisville that can do that. I heard about auto motion in Louisville and gave them a call and they told me it would be 2200 labor to do the cam, 600 for the headers and exhaust and 750 for a dyno tune. I was pretty blown away by the price. I called a shop in owensboro, speedy's and they told me $69 an hour and that it would take 6-8 hours to put cams in and 150 an hour for a dyno tune. Which is a lot cheaper than the one in Louisville, is there not any good shops in Louisville to get this stuff done at a reasonable price? Or should I just got to the one in Owensboro?

Any info would be appreciated.

Suggestion: Post your question in the Louisville Vette Drivers forum.

There are several guys that have these kind of mods on their cars. There maybe one or two of them that may be able to do the work themselves.

You might want to Google, Mike Norris Motorsports,
He is in Plainfield Ind, 5 miles west of Indy on US40.
125 miles from Louisville. He is a nationally known
tuner on the Corvette Forum. If I do any engine mods
to my car it will be him. Does great work and reasonable
price. He wrote a monthly column in Corvette Fever for
years. Very knowlegible.
