Anyone got any track advice for a first timer @ NCCAR (and someone with overall very limited track experience)?
Mike found one of your videos made with the Harry's app.
and another with Harry's except in a ZR1:
Just trying to learn a bit about lines and the speeds in the corners since there are no instructors there. What psi are you guys running your tires at these events? I am running BFG KDW II's.
Mike would you recommend that Harry's app? I have an iphone 5s. I read the external GPS makes it more accurate, but it seems pretty cool for just $20. Do you recommend? And which mount are you using. Would need to find as mount locally this week.
If the wife is coming do you recommend bringing a chair? I am assuming all that is there is hard surface seating? And is there any shade around the spectator areas?
Thanks and see you all soon. And a coworker is a part of the club and said there are helmets available. But I ended up buying a used SA2010 open face off craigslist. Not sure how I feel about used....but it seemed like finding something local to try on wasn't going to happen easily. And the price was right.

Will there be any room to set up a tent, chairs or a cooler? Judging from the aerial shots I noticed the place doesn't have many available resources. I will be bringing a chair, debating on the tent.

Here's my video from last year's event, rookie mistakes and all - it doesn't get much more novice than this! I was taking it easy, so I let most of the pack pass on the straight, etc. However, I managed a few runs - 118 top speed - not much, but I had a blast.
It looks like I'm crawling, but I was going a decent pace for the most part, considering it rained towards the end of the clip.

I do recommend Harrys, although it is the only one I've used, but for $20 ya get an in car vid of your laps...for noobies like me its suffiecint as I'm more concerned about learning the proper line and you can review Harrys between sessions. Make sure to set your phone on do not distrub and turn off the screen saver....
I musta did something right in this vid as this on line mag incorporated it:

I think I got this mount the last time:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360A-Car-Mount-Windshield-Cradle-Holder-Stand-for-Apple-iPhone-4S-4-5-5G-iTouch/251223888460?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14348%26meid%3D7703913044373576302%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D7027%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D251152713625%26
but really any type should do...
Good Luck, have fun and be safe!!!!
