Central FL members- Old Town Cruise 7/13
Any members want to get together for an informal cruise to Old Town in Kissimmee on Friday night, let me know. Great way to celebrate Friday the 13th
PM me or post up here. If I can get a general headcount, I'll try to arrange parking so that all CF vettes and park together. We'll pick a place to meet to come in together or all hook up there. Look forward to seeing you guys and hope most of you can make it who participated in the Ocala forest run on 6/30.

Old Town has a cruise every Friday I believe

Are you talking about doing that?
Cruising to Old Town itself will be problematic; lots of lights and tourists.

There is a Red Lobster on the next corner from the entrance to the brick streets that has a larg parking lot out back where all can regroup to cruise in together if needed.

Don't expect to be in Parade around Oldtown, they are funny old farts in their own created disco. You have to be invited to parade, only if they accept you. Most have been doing it for years, some paid. Nice fun, changed owners some time ago. I'm game, Call first tho.

Not sure where this came from. Friday night is American Muscle car night. All original and modern day versions as well as Corvettes are allowed in and all are allowed to cruise. See you all there.

I'm not talking about showing up in a 20 car caravan and making a grand entrance. I would suggest that most of us meet there and hang, then maybe drive out together. Not a bad idea about the Red Lobster Bill. They were practically begging me to sign up to commit to showing weekly when I went in January for the Friday night of the NCRS meet. It was a ghost town. Seems they were struggling for a turn out at that time, though things may have changed. Its basically something to do and hang to check out some cars.

I'm in...went last Friday to figure out where the place even was. Is it possible to park inside? I saw a few Vettes up to C6 last week. It would be nice to have at least some other car show up in force to balance out the gizzillions of Mustangs out there.

When I drove through on Sat it was extremely packed. This was around 8:30pm. To be able to park on the actual car spaces I'd imagine you would have to get there around 5 to fit in and be apart of the parade that I believe starts around 8pm.
The surround parking spaces both in the back (by the rides) and around Old Town were charging $5 to park. Otherwise everyone else just parked along curbs which I'm not eager to do. The only open parking however was in the back of the Red Lobster as they have a large lot but there was an attendant there making sure it was for their customers only. I was just going to park there and hope that no one would tow a Corvette so I could just walk around but didn't chance it and just left for a slower night.
So far I'm not an avid car shower (my car) more of just going to look at others, converse, walk around and maybe have a drink. I'm sure that if some of us get over that way later on we could just park over by Red Lobster. Walk towards the restaurant then just turn and walk away to old town.
Open to any ideas.

I don't believe there is an actual parade on Friday night. When you enter from the front off 192, there is usually an attendant standing at the entrance who lets cars in who are participating. You actually drive on the brick street between the two buildings and all the way around to the back to the side of the left hand building where the cheezy oldies band is usually making some kind of awful racket. Never know what you are gonna see. Usually a couple of Elvis impersonators hanging around too. It's a trip.
