Oh yeah, tell Angela that this is a girlfriend trip.....wifes have to stay home.
The last few years the cops have screwed up our parade downtown, but this year we have the Mayor and a few other 'big wigs' in the parade, so maybe it will go smooth.
You guys need to build, borrow, or steal a valve cover, for the races. We have a bunch of engineers in our club, and no telling what they're going to come up with. I kinda hope that a 'red neck' (like me) wins, tho.
Larry
PS....our club will probably have about 15 or 20 Vettes come down to your show this summer. I can't make it this year......I still have a J...O...B.

I have a valve cover racer and plan to bring it with me. I have only raced it 8 times but have done fairly well.
I won first place at "Jets and Vettes" Pensacola, FL Naval Air Museum in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
I won first place at "Vettes at the Beach", Pensacola Beach, FL in 2009 and 2010. A spectator stepped on my racer in 2011.
I won first place at "Extravetteganza", Slidell, LA in 2011.
I won second place at "Vettes Giving Back", Gulfport, MS in 2011.
In my 8 races, I have 6 first place and 1 second place. Not too bad for a little "red neck girl", don't you think. I sure those "ingineers" don't pick on me.
Also, I want to talk to Glenda about your idea for Ron to leave me home and have a "girl friend weekend". LOL

Remember, this is going to be a drag race, not a distance run. I haven't got mine put together yet. I'll probably wait to the last minute and have to cram all night.
You know, that looks like a 'ricer' spoiler you have on it. Do you have a 'fart' can on it, too.
Hot Springs is a nice resort town. You will find plenty to do. It's good that you are bringing a truck. You will have plenty of room to haul all the stuff you're going to buy. Don't let Ron forget his billfold.
I mentioned to Glenda about how about having a, girlfriend only weekend. Her reaction was about the same as yours. Go figure.

I just heard that the Austin, the host hotel has a few rooms available. They will not last long, tho.
It's only 7 days away.

There's about 17 cars coming in from Pensicola area; they're leaving your area on Wed., staying over night in Miss., and coming in about 2pm Thursday. Maybe you could hook up with them.

You guys had better be real nice to me......you know that I'm one of the judges, right.
The weather looks great. Sunny and in the 70's and 80's. A chance of a shower Friday. Of course, we all know that changes every 2 hours, but it looks like a good weekend.

The seventeen cars are from Sunset Vettes Corvette Club from Fort Walton Beach, FL. We will departing the rest stop on I-10 just west of Hwy 87 (has the Blue Angel jet as static display) at 0800.

Actually Angela, Rons wife is the one winning all the valve cover races, but Larry does plan on winning the one in Hot Springs.

You will basically by-pass PB while you're on 530. There's a Wally World at one exit with all that builds around it, if you need anything and a McDonalds at another one, in case, you want to take Angela out to eat.
Oh yeah, the limit is around 65 to 70 MPH.
It looks like it going to be kinda cool at night and on Saturday, so bring a light jacket. Of course, the show is inside.
Ron, the parking for the trailers will be on the South side of othe Conv. Center, kinda on the Embassy Suites end (east) of the center. The Austin is on the West end of the Convention Center. When you pull up someone will probably notice 17 Vettes and help you out. Maybe even me, but I require a good tip....not the jingly stuff, but the green stuff.
See Ya tomorrow,
Larry
