well officially wont be able to make it to the bash. due to the ol' shutdown our flight out was not paid for so we got a free extended stay at this secluded vacation spot.

Well...here goes nothing. Stumbled across this today while killing time at work on the forum (I'm a great example of federal employee that wasn't furloughed with a shortage of things to do)....just moved to NC less than a month ago. It appears you fine folks will be doing something that involves drinking while possibly discussing a fine American automobile built by some fine folks in KY. Seeing as I know approximately no one in the area, and even less people in the area that drive the same thing I do...is your meet "closed" or can random internet strangers take part in what looks like shenanigans?
