Default [FLORIDA] Here it is, the OFFICIAL and updated cruise in caravan info thread......

Here is what we have. The following people are definitely going

Me and will be MrsMy95
Eric Gainey(my business partner)
Mean Green

Jim Terry

geo 84 vette

Johns Vette

Batmobile may be joining, I believe he is still undecided.

Here is the plan.....

The Tampa guys will meet a 4:45 for a 5 am departure at the 275/75 rest area

The Orlando Guys meet at the Okahumpka Service Plaza (MM299) on the Turnpike at 545 and depart no later then 545

Both groups meet at the rest area on I75 N of the turnpike in the neighborhood of 6 am

Me and the Mrs and the other car with us will be in Gainesville and will coordinate to be waiting on an entrance ramp to meet everyone

we will meet john and joecool at the rest area just north of I10/I75

I have registered for all of Roscoes Events and reccomend you do the same, also if you dont have one, get an FRS radio.

If you have them we would like to see everyone sportin a Misfits T Shirt, we will have extras for sale.

Everyone should have a full tank of gas so we all fuel at the same time and please bring snacks so we can limit stops to fueling and wee wee breaks

I think a quick lunch break would be a good idea... packing a lunch means packing a cooler. Stretching the legs is a good thing.. esp when driving a vette for 12 hours anfd your over 6 ft tall :D

Hey Ken, What say we pick a FRS channel NOW so we are all on the same page
Channel 1 "one" comes to mind with NO sub tone (not all FRS have them)

as for lunch.....it looks like the initial thought is to stop, I'd like to make it a "fast food place" and not spend a whole lotta time there vice a place Chillis or something similar :D :cheers:

Also if it was something close to a gas station could fillup both the body and the car. Looks like we might be to Atlanta around lunch time, so if anyone from that area wanted to join the caravan they might be able to suggest a place.

Sounds like a good plan! Something fast, and gas-up at the same time. We'll need to stretch our legs by then. :crazy:
