Northern Virginia Caravan to BG Wednesday 5/22

We're going to hook up with the rest of the Rat Pack in Staunton, VA

Meeting times and route:

Centreville Post Office, we will depart at 5AM sharp!
From there we will take Rte 29 South to I66 West to I81 south
We will exit at Woodstock for a PIT Stop about 6AM (~75 miles)
Then we will take I81 south to Staunton where I64 intersects and arrive 7 - 7:15 AM (~64 miles)
to hook up with Jack and the rest of the Rat Pack

James, it looks like there is an exit off I 81 about a mile or two south of the junction with I 64.

Let's meet there.

I'll have FRS on channel 5 and GMS? on channel 10

Shouldn't be a problem at all

We are staying at Motel 6, which is very nice and right next to the Baymont and the picnic lot

Also, check out our Deals Gap run on the way home

There are probably reservations to be had. It looks like some folks made reservations and are starting to cancel them. And like Jack said most of us VA folks are staying at Motel 6.

Are you going to join up and caravan with me to meet up with Jack?

The Motel 6 is roofless...lost it in the storm during Cruise In l, that's why it's so cheap :D

Pack a tarp if you want to stay dry! ;)

I would like to go but I am having an issue with my c3.. Hmmmm... I looked at a GSjohn's GS this past weekend and going to look at a few more cars... If My C3 is working or I have another car by next weekend then I will go and if not then oh well..

I hope to... The GsJohn is having a new clutch installed and he is still working on some paper work I need for the loan. We are going to cut it close but I think I should have the car by this weekend...

On anther note. My C5 is NOW offically SOLD! I paid off the loan with the checks from the buyer and now the buyer has a black c5 infront of my house! :)
He is going to be here in 15 days to pick up the car.

ARe you really going to meet S. Va group?? They are leaving at 4:30am!! wow.. you would need to leave like at 12am to meet them.. right??? That is a lot of driving.. If I go I would drive down the day before and stay at hotel by the burger king and check out at 4am and meetup...

Actually I'm going to leave Centreville at 5AM and meet up with the soutside folks at the intersection of I81 and I64. So they get to go about due west for 3 1/2 hours, while I go west about an hour and south about and hour. It will be a long day of driving (about 12 hours), but with Marie and I splitting the driving it should be OK.

The other option was to leave 1/2 day Tuesday and meet up with Mr Mojo's group in Charleston WV and spend the night there. Check out the Northeast section if thats what you might want to do.

Hope to see that GS on Sunday!
