I was just cruzin down Jefferson Ave. on Tuesday afternoon and just in front of me there was a Bright Red C-5 with a borla exhaust so decided to see if it was anyone that I might know. So a quick shift to second and I am right there on his butt. I looked over and noticed that it was a younger gent. with it appeared to be his son. So I just gave a quick nod and a "thumbs Up" and went on about my business (Not wanting to race since there were children involved.....But willing if the need be :D ) I am about maybe 10 to 15 cars in front of the Vett and I look up and here he comes  So a quick shift into second and by the time he reaches me I am ready for action. I let him get just passed me and then I jump over right behind him.....he is still on it but let me tell ya...had there not of been any traffic I wouldn't of been for long. We run for just a little bit and then get off of it due to lots of cars. So I decide that its time to get in the next lane(just in case there happens to be a red light...... But there never is when you need one) So at this point I realize that this has to be an Automatic beside me cause the exhaust is not making much noise at 40mph and I am in 2nd and mine is sounding great. So once more we get on them just for a sec. maybe up to about 70 or 80 but I have to get right back over due to traffic on that stupid road  and then my buddy turns off into a business parking lot and then I am on my way across the JRB. Damn.......if only there was no traffic and just one red light that could of caught us life would of been great
The reason for this post is only to give praise to my fellow C-5 brother...."You have on hell of a nice Vett."
That thing was in perfect shape from what I could tell and I loved the Corvette Badges that you put on the sides of it. That is something that I have wanted to do but was not sure of until now. Hope you dont mind if I copy you.
If this gent is not part of the Forum he needes to be (if you are already then disregard).......so all you Hampton Rodes members keep you eyes open for a Red C-5 with badges on the sides by the doors a Borla Exhaust and nice Thin Spoke Chrome wheels running the streets of Newport News. :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy
There is a lot of C5s running around Newport News. Many times those guys don't give you a wave. What did the license plate say, anything personall?
I live in Newport News, right off Jefferson. I drive my ZR-1 up and down that road everytime I take the vette out. I ride right next to C5s and the idiots never give a wave. They look over with a look on thier face that says, what the hell are you waving at?
Keep an eye out for a Red ZR-1 in NN. Not too many of us.
