[Florida] Anyone know of...

...a town near coral gables (miami area) that has low crime rate and houses/appartments for rent at resonable prices? My family is moving out there in july sometime and we're thinking about areas near Coral Gables. We're thinking for something about 2 bedroom 2-3 bath.

Wow that's not terribly reassuring. Surely not every part of that area is high crime. right?

Well, you could live a little north of there in the Palm Beach area, but you have to prove that you're too stupid to vote to live there. :eek:

A friend of mine is working on the new Rouse Mall in Coral Gables...she looked for 6 months and ended up renting a 2 bedroom in a highrise on Biscayne Blvd....$2200.00 per month.. :eek: ... all I can say is good luck...BTW Coral Gables is about a 4 hour roundtrip from Palm Beach... if $ is an issue your looking at a loooong commute, if not try Coconut Grove...

If your looking for a low crime rate you need to go a little north at least Southwestern Broward County.( Miramar,Pembroke Pines,Weston) Don't even think about Miami-Dade County :nono:

I live here and I won't even visit Coral Gables... :rolleyes:

We lived in the Kendall area of Miami until 12 years ago. It was decent and reasonable back then. Now???????
