Thanks to SVCC and all those who put this event together. It is one of my new favorites. Shops, food, and a great setting for our Vettes. Really well done. Thanks SVCC
Congrats to Shags who won best C5. We were at the end of the block so didn't hear the awards announcement and we missed the other winners. But, anyone who attended today was a winner!. Great venue, fantastic time!
Also, from my PICs it would look like the number of spectators was small. Not the case. Had to practice a lot of patience today, to get the shots. Really crowded.

Great shots! Thanks!
We had a great time doing it, and appreciate all the compliments! I think the best story behind Shags' win is that he had hit a deer that morning coming to the show and had to go find a car wash to get the smell off of the car!
Congrats, and we hope to see you all next year!
Val
Good seeing you and the missus again Phil! Hope you didn't hit any carcasses on the way home.
Same here Tim. Spent a couple hours Saturday evening with the car up on ramps, crawling around underneath it and brushing/picking out chunks of meat, hair, and bone.
As Val noted, Neil hit a deer carcass on the way to the show. What she didn't mention was that my ACI splitter had already turned it into sausage by the time Neil got there.
We had a great time as well. It was well worth the drive up from Fredericksburg. It was nice to be able to walk and get something to eat and be able to visit all the stores along the mall.
I saw cars from Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. A great turnout!

Nothing like a C5 BBQ with aged venison
This happened to a friend of mine in his Cobra...it reeked of charred dead deer for months, even after getting under there and cleaning. Finally the smell burned off, but it took a while
Great shots Phil.......I wanted to hit that show, but had some trouble with the 68 after picking it up from the shop!!! Look for my post real soon in the NE section.
Congrats to you Neil!!!! Well deserved!!!

Thanks everyone...I had fun at the show and looking at all the nice vetts. other then the deer that we helped smash into the road even more all was good for a first event.
Only managed to do the Skyline Drive show once a few years ago, but want to do it again. Is there somewhere I can go to put my name on a list for notification for where and when for next year?
