Murfreesboro & Middle Tenn: Talledaga July 3rd, anybody want to join me?
Hi, Iam going to be driving down to Talladega, AL to put my car on one of the most recognized race tracks in Nascar racing. I signed up this morning and can't wait!
Let me know if anybody will be joining me, we can all meet up and drive down together. Here is the information. Spots are limited and going quick! Hope to have some people join!
A small group of us are driving down Thursday July 1. When we hit Memphis, we will be taking US72 to Tuscumbia, AL and then hwy 157 to Cullman then US278 to Attalla, then hwy 77 to Lincoln. We are staying at the Days Inn in Lincoln at $60/night. It's also closer to the track. We are going to relax on Friday, drive over to Talladega Natl Forest for lunch, then the party at the track Friday night. On Saturday.................the fun really happens............driving the SuperSpeedway. They are limiting the even to the first 200 Vettes and they have just under 100 registered as of this morning.
You are welcome to join in with our group along the way. We will be leaving Sunday morning for the drive back to Springfield.

hmm very enticing offer. I'll have to check with the people that might be joining me from around the Murfreesboro area and see if this works with them as well.

It's really a party at the museum. It was the $12 per person option on the registration form. Tour the museum, eats and a live band from 6-9 Friday night.
Also, if you want to have your group run together on the track, you need to note the other person(s) name(s) on the registration form. At this time, I'm not sure of how many will be in our group(likely 6 cars) so when I know for sure, I'll email them the names in our group, so they can keep us together.

Yep sounds good! I didn't put in for the $12 per person option because I am not sure yet if I will have another person joining me or not. Hopefully I can pay for the party at a later time when it gets closer. I'll to email Jeff over that, I forgot to ask. Yeh would be cool to be in your heat. If my friends come down with me we will have about 5-6 vettes too so all of us together should be interesting.

Just an update for anybody monitoring this thread. I contacted Jeff Williams a few days ago in reference to creating a group. My group is officially called the "CorvetteForum Group" as the name was still available.
I have 5 definite cars in the group so far:

3) Harold Rose (MaverickPo)
4) Jeremy (Jay76)
5) Eddie (eezynow)
If anybody else has been registered and would like to be part of the group please post or PM me and I will be sure to tell Jeff Williams to add you to the group. We have a 15 car maximum per group.
