Corvette Expo at Sevierville....whos going?

Who all is planning on going to the Corvette Expo in Sevierville TN on the 26,27 of this month? I've never been to this event so school me on the details. We'lll probably be coming up Saturday morning and possibly staying overnight. Wheres the best places to stay? I know thats just a skip from Gatlinburg, so that is probably where we'll stay.
How many of you guys are planning on going? Is there going to be a CF gathering place or time for some of us to meet up? It'd be great to meet up with some of you folks just to say hi.....

the Expo is lots of fun

i'll be there. not sure about places to stay tho since i live in the area. we'll have to figure out a place to meet up. always great to meet other CF peeps

I have another idea. We could arrange to meet at the East Tennessee Corvette Club table at a certain time. That way I can shamelessly advertise our great club to possible new members

while meeting new peeps like you

I'm excited about Expo, I've never been. I'd love to come up Friday, but my wife can't get off work and she don't leave her office til about 5:30 or so, so it'd be late that night and we'd miss the cruise

I'd love to meet some of you guys, I am on a Mopar board and an Air Show Board and have met some great people from those at various Mopar shows and air shows around.
I was at a show one time in my bright green 69 Dodge Superbee, and a guy walked up to me....I'd never seen him before in my life, and he said...."hey, aren't you BarryBum from Moparts?"........I got a kick out of that.

Barrybum,

I will probably be going over for the day on Friday only. Maybe Sat instead but will not be staying overnight. Not sure if I am taking the Vette yet, waiting a little closer to see what the weather does. I live "up the road" from you in Marion.

Wow Thread Baron, we're like neighbors. I got some Mopar friends in Marion, I used to be in Mt Gateway Mopars, but when I got back into the Vettes they blackballed me.....LOL, not really......they are a great group of guys, just a little mis guided....

If you havent found a cabin yet, a friend of mine owns cobbly nob rentals- and hes a c6 vet owner... Not sure of the number but you can get it off their website. www.cobbly.com his name is doug and he has a sb orange c6 vert. May help out other owners. He's not on the forum tho.

Yeah the Mopar guys can be misguided or at least thats my story. Are there any nice cruise-ins down in your area? There are several a year up here that draw a good number of cars.

Here is a link with a lot of show info. Looks like I will most likely head over for the day on Friday only. The cruise on Friday night looks like it would be fun.

the cruise is lots of fun!! our club is doing dinner at Dixie Stampede afterwards

i hope the weather is going to be better than what they are predicting

Last fall was my last trip. There used to be lots of used parts at the old location but now it appears that the main focus is on the auction anf fluff from the same overpriced vendors that show up at all the shows. Until they bring back the the used parts guys I am staying home.
