Hey,
Rick and I went went down to Waterside today to meet the mall manager Maggie and the head of security for the 30th. The spot they have for us is perfect. I have enclosed some pictures of the area. There is room for about 30-40 cars. Directions to Waterside will be forthcoming for those out of town but here are a few snaps of the parking area. It is to the right of Waterside and between the Spirit of Norfolk. This stop should rock because of the awesome Hooters girls and premuim parking at our disposal.

Entrance up these ramps to the area. Vic might have a little trouble though. We will place traffic cones to mark it better. Left hand turn into Waterside from main street.

Hooters to the left. Close enough to see the cars and get some pictures.

Thanks Rick for pulling the parking together. Boy, he sure does look like a cop there doesn't he?

Maggie is the manager of Waterside, not one of the Hooter's Girl's. In her day she coulda been a hootie hottie hooter girl. She is like mid 50's. Jack wouldn't kick her outta bed for eating crackers though. :jester :jester

Looks great! What about the Wisconson Battleship Tour? Can we leave the cars there and go down to the Battleship?

Jack,
The battleship is open for free tours, just your type, but it only on the main deck. They are open until 5:00pm. If you take the narrated tour I think it is $5.00. Hope you all have fun.

P.S. Jack doesn't like girls that eat crackers in bed, he prefers the older ladies who enjoy soft foods so they won't have to remember where they left their teeth. :eek:

Wow Leo you are really hitting hard with that one! Now my computer will probably print all of those funny looking characters again. For some reason when Jack types he doesn't get the same characters that the rest of us get! :lol: :lol:

Hi, All Several of you have asked about parking passes..
Waterside management and their security people are making passes for us and will get them to me next week. I will have them there on the 30th when you all arrive. Dave or I will be there in plenty of time to hand them out as you arrive. Dave and I also exchanged business cards with their security Captain today and they will be there to assist us as well. Real nice people..
For those who asked about the time and the USS Wisconsin tour..we MUST VACATE THE LOT BY 5 PM. as it's committed after that.Other than that it's our exclusive lot!!
NOW we just need Corvettes and good weather...

For all the Rat Pack guys that got all the plans for this Hooters Tour #4 under control. A job well done.

I plan on being there again for the complete day.

This time I plan on having the Hooters pose (model) from the back end of my VET vs the front hood. The VET's rearend is wider. Vic since you have a handle on lining up the Hooters for picture posing. You are welcome to help them this time again. The blanket is in the trunk.

If she's down at the Battleship, you can probably get away with it :D

I went by there today, it's about a block and a half from where we will be parking to the Battleship...which by the way is awesome!

For those worried about leaving their cars unattended in the lot, I think we can probably take turns going down to the ship, and leave a few behind to keep an eye on the cars (from the bar at Hooters).

I think we should take the banner down to the ship and get a photo of it between the 16" guns...now those are HOOTERS!

Darn and Ron thought his computer was going to be broke again.

I hope everyone enjoys themselves at Hooters. If I do pull in Friday instead of Saturday I might be able to join in the adventure. The plans are sort of loose at that end of the trip. The shot with the Banner between the guns would be awesome! I think they have a couple of the bullets on the Quarterdeck of the ship. Those 16 inch rounds are mighty impressive. Just thinkk, a Volkswagen bug being thrown at you. :eek:
