Charity fundraiser for a local young lady who is in
MD Anderson Cancer Center getting treatment for
Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This is a joint event by
Lanier Corvettes Unlimited and Corvette Cruisers of
Atlanta with Home Depot helping out.

There will be a live auction with so many VERY NICE items you can name your price, 50/50 drawing,
peoples choice top 25, and Home Depot's top pick. Also, there's a 'home baked' sale for some delicious
home made goodies!

Not many car events going on in Dec so come out and with a $20 donation help this young lady stay in the hospital for her treatments. Food and drinks will be available.

We got the info back from our Marine Toys for Tots contact and they run short on ages 9-14, for both boys and girls. Seems to be the same trend each year.

We collected a little over $1000.00 in cash (the 50/50 winner donated his win back to the Toys for Tots Foundation). We almost filled the USMC truck that came to off load the toys from trailer. We had less cars in attendance but more toys than we had last year and maybe even the year before.


I want to everyone for coming out this year, could have used a few more C5's out there and even C4's but all in all it was great.

Speaking about that; guess we might as well annouce the:

8th annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive / Bike/Car/Truck Show

date will be December 10th, 2011.

Come out next year and let's see if we can fill a two trailer.

I wish this was just one more week after.... I've got just a few details to settle, parts are on order.

I've been working on this car (engine really) since July '09 and finally, last night at 2am, I was able to take it for a spin around the block.

1st pic pulling out the garage, letting it warm up.


Easy cruise.... it screams up top, just a gear or two...


Back home safe and sound. I'm in love all over again... I thought my grandfather's '57 I helped NCRS rebuild was "it"..... now, my own little red Corvette is the jewel of my eye.

FULLY POLISHED ENGINE including the block. All wiring minimized and components relocated. The engine looks naked sitting there.
