I will probably in the February/March time frame purchase an after market hood for my MY 04 coupe......do any of you out there recommend any paint shops in the Jax area that could do a qaulity paint and swap ?

....and will my oem hoodliner work on the aftermarket hood as well ?

It looks like the hood I am leaning towards is the high rise like the one Ecklers has (an inch and a half higher than the oem)

Make the drive to Charlseton SC for the best job you can get. Ship the hood to them and drive up and have it put on.

Only one problem with Visual FX. The guy is SOOOO good that he has an insane waiting list!!! He's just one guy, and does great work, but you'll wait for it.

OK. Try Joe Nettles who owns Pearl Collission on Blanding. He owns several classic Corvettes. He did all the paint and body work on his 58 Vette and it received a NCRS Top Flite award last year.

Here's another good shop. Danny's Custom Creations, 928-2022. He's done several Corvette paint jobs for friends of mine.

Darrens Customs & Restorations a little south of Jacksonville in Green Cove Springs. Small shop, but specializes in restoring classic vehicles, and owns a bunch of chevys, including a 57 drag car. He does awesome work. 904-284-9209
