Our next big event is this "wash and shine" show located in the Orlando area......I'd like to see a good turnout, should be a great time.....here's a link for details and we will caravan if enough interest :D (if you don't have an FRS radio, please get one....makes traveling together much easier and more fun)

I haven't been able to MP3 Miss Nelly F. yet. We use Cool Edit Pro as our MP3
generator, it's also on our network and it's down. As soon as they get it back up I'll fire it off to ya.

I'm 100% going. It's about 1 mile from where I live. Folks, the event is in the big city of Lady Lake or to be more exact, " The Villages ." It's on Hwy 441/27 north of Leesburg, north of Lady Lake, south of Summerfield.

Orlando people, find your way to 441/27 and go north. The villages will be on your left about 1 mile north of the overpass in the north part of Lady Lake. It's just north of the Winn Dixie, Publix shopping center. There's a big golf cart overpass and a red light. Turn left there.

Tampa Misfits people, get off I-75 at Wildwood. Take Hwy 44 over to Hwy 301 (the first big intersection you come to) and turn left (north) go to Hwy 42. Do not take the road Hwy 466 (there's a big sign "The Villages"). It's a pain. Take Hwy 42 to Hwy 441/27 (big intersection) and turn right and go about 2 miles to the golf cart overpass and turn right into the Villages area.

Need more information let me know. If I know anything, it's this area.

There lots of parking in the area. There's a few places to eat. It' will be FUN.

I'll be visiting some friends from Connecticut (yes...I DO have friends) in Orlando that day. Where the hell is 441 and Lady Lake? Yahoo doesn't know it. Is it near Disney World? I'll be staying near Disney World Saturday night.

Mark.... The corvette event is not in Howey-in-the-Hills. That's many miles away. That address is where you mail your registration fee if you are going to enter your car in the show.

Yeah, I saw that address too and was about to punch it in when I noticed that that was just the registration address. Unfortunately, looking at the map to the actual location, that's a little too far for me. I was going to try and squeeze it in before I met my friends in Orlando. :(

I would love to go to this.... The Villages in Leesburg is a really cool place. But I can't.....my car will be in the shop all week....getting its boo boo quarter fixed :rolleyes: and a whole new paint job! :D

Come on folks.... Lets make it happen. We need to show these country yahoo's what a corvette gang is all about. There's a bunch of blue hairs in this area and we need to show them what us young people can do.

We'll be returning from a little trip the day before and probably won't have enough time to clean up the 'Vette, but we'll certainly be there to see the cars and hopefully meet a few folks from the area. :)
