Default Who knows carbs in Charlotte?

Hey all... I've self diagnosed a carb problem. Initially thought I had some water in the fuel, but now I think it may be worse. Strong fuel smell after driving, fuel leaks on valve covers and under air cleaner, stalling and very rough idle. Was told by someone here in Rock Hill I need a rebuild. Any thoughts on where to go?

Anyone have experience with the Corvette guy on 21 in Rock Hill? Good or bad? Any other ideas?

TIA, Bll

I'd go to Corvettes Etc on Wilkinson Blvd and ask for Dub.

Glenn Hughes at Hughes Automotive in Charlotte. Tell Glenn that John with the green LT-1 sent you. 704-531-6277.

Glenn adjusted the valves this past summer and also put in a fresh set of points. What a difference! Glenn digs the classics and knows about the LT-1.

Let me know if you take yours over there and I'll meet you there for a cold sudsy one across the street at Big Al's Grubberia.

Thank you John! I called Glenn this afternoon.

Looking forward to the next time I can hook up with the Metrolina Club!

Hi, Rock Hill here too. As far as Corvettes Unlimited is concerned, he does have a fairly good parts selection and knows his stuff, but I find him to be very high priced.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Hope you can get a chance to join us at one of our meetings or events, am sure you will find it quite interesting, lol.
If you need any help, let me know, have a garage and tools if needed.

Thanks everyone! I am taking John's suggestion and going to Hughes Automotive tomorrow morning. Won't have time for that beer in the morning John, but I do owe you one!!!

Y'all have fun at the parade Saturday, I'll be in Charleston camping out on the U.S.S. Yorktown with 200 Cub Scouts!

I remember those Cub Scout days. I've never been so tired after a day of "herding" a pack of Cub Scouts anywhere. BTW Dr. Stall says Hi.
