Default Metrolina Corvettes Cat Square Christmas Parade Info

CAT SQUARE CHRISTMAS PARADE - VALE, NC

Metrolina Corvettes' members wishing to participate in the 2007 Cat Square Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 1, 2007 need to meet at the WalMart Supercenter at I-485 and Hwy 16 in Charlotte (that's Exit 16) no later than 10:00 AM. We leave in caravan fashion at 10:15 AM.

A free lunch (pizza and soft drinks) is being provided at our meeting point in Vale. You are welcome to bring other beverages of your choice in soft sided coolers. Be sure to bring FRS radios, your best holiday spirit, a ho-ho-ho attitude and between 10# and 15# of hard candy for throwing to the more than 10,000 people who will line the roads to see you!

We'll line-up with the other parade entries at 12:30 and drive-off in our parade position about 2PM. The parade will be over around 4PM and you can expect to be back in your snug little beds by 6PM that evening.

This is a great event - the largest country parade no one knows about - and we look forward to having you participate. It could be one of the greatest Christmas gifts you give this year!

I'm looking forward to this, sounds like lots of fun. I was pleased to see so many of our members raise their hands with interest at our club meeting last Saturday.

I'm looking forward to it. I guess I have to find a Santa hat for Jake.

I also have to figure out where this Wal Mart is, remember, that ain't my part of town. Coming from Mooresville, what's the best way?

It might be quicker if you took 150 west to Lincolnton & met up with the caravan somewhere near there.

Well if Sassi isn't up to it I think I will bring Emerald and I might even snag a "Mrs. Santa" to ride shotgun!

Do we want to decorate our Vettes for Christmas? We have to fly our club banner some how.

Decorating your car is not necessary but the attitude for the Holidays is. Break out your best Santa garb - hats, bells, whistles and a jingle here and there!

If someone can figure out how to attach the banner to Tom's new hardtop C4 without the use of duct tape, I'm all for it.

Mike, the Wal-Mart is on the NW side of Charlotte. Your best bet from the lake is I-77 south to Northlake Mall and continue west on Vance Road. It T's at Mt. Holly-Huntersville and turn left to the Wal-Mart, about 5 miles.

HOHOHO!

Maybe it would be possible to display the banner by attaching it to a couple of those window flagpoles?

Chris could ride with Martha and hang out the window with the banner stuck to his butt.

Default Banner Holders

Christmas is for the kids right? This sounds like a good job for Donovan's daughter and a friend to participate in.

Ken - can you check to see if the Blue Rocket is coming?

Chris with a banner on his butt - now that's funny!
