Heres my pics from the events this afternoon. Was pretty fun and nice seeing everyone again and meeting new people.
Lunch was good and the cruise out to Kings Mountain was pretty scenic. We did have one Vette end up blowing a headgasket, I headed back to Charlotte before I know what happened with it.
Location: just the other side of Spencer Mountain NC
Blew a head gasket? What's up with that???
Sorry we had to bail but the good news is I working on getting one of our own up to speed on CF. Look for John Fura and posts from his '98 PC in the coming days.
We enjoyed seeing everyone and making the drive in our 'Ray. Be safe and look for posts on the Cat Square Christmas Parade - December 1. Mark your calenders.

That be me with the problem. First thought it was a blown head gasket or blown intake manifold gasket. Once we got it back here to the house we removed the valve covers and all is ok there. She was done about a quart of oil. Checking the remaining moisture from the left side pipe there was an odor of antifreeze. She started fine and blew a little smoke. As much as I would like to start tearing things down and investigate things myself ....she is staying parked until Monday. Then she will go back to the dealership for analysis and if there is any sort of internal damage, or damage to the engine at all..... The company it was purchased from is getting a call because it is under warranty! Two engines in less than six months .... All I can say is that I am hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
And before I forget to say it ............. GREAT PICS!

Hey, we didn't make it to the ice cream shop! My ice cream low level light is on.
I missed the garage but I send a very special thanks to Bob for driving out to us and calling the tow truck driver for me. I contacted Hagerty Insurance since I am premium member and the tow would be free. Well they first said it would take 45 to 60 minutes. After 45 minutes passed they called back and said the tow service was very busy and running behind schedule and it would be another 60 to 90 minutes. Bob showed up and made a call and the tow truck arrived 15 minutes later. Now this meant I had to pay out of pocket but I had to get the car back to Charlotte. Hagerty's won't cover it because they did not arrange this particular service. I will see if AAA will do anything but if not it was $150 well spent. I even tipped the driver $20. That was a long haul back .... but Bob saved the day for me! I am going to make a point to get out there to his garage in the very near future.

There are good people out there and Bob is one of them. What was the towing companies name? I want to make it one of my "goto" numbers and also I want to drop by and personally thank him for a good job. BTW, your C3 is awesome. Yesterday, the C3's ruled.

Queens Garage. As far as "Sassi" being awesome .... well she's not quite there yet but she's well on her way!
Location: Wearing out tread somewhere near Charlotte.
Oh yeah, we had ourselves a BIG time!
It was nice to have Bill and his son Will join us, pleasantly surprised when Ed and Linda showed up from QCCC, and another nice welcome to Marc and his wife. Thank you for choosing to spend the day with us. Hope you had a good time and will come back, we enjoyed meeting all of you.
Gee, the weather could not have been nicer for a beautiful cruise through the countryside. The leaves on the trees looked electric!
I never saw it coming but the highlight of the day (for me) was Bob Beck's Garage. What an awesome layout and furnishings! Tom was right, it was just like stepping back in time. This guy did an excellent job in capturing the 70's and making time stand still. Not too shabby that he also has 3 vintage Corvettes in there.
And nice photos, guys! Thanks, I'll lift some off of here and ask Martha to include them on our site. Send more if ya got em!
