What's near VA Beach??

Hello all... I'm pretty new to the VA Beach area. Are there any good events/cruise in/or anything else that you guys know of? FWIW I'm a 26 year old 2002 Z06 owner.

There is a car show most Saturdays at Genro's off Independence. I am in VB off General booth. PM me if you want to go one day and we can meet up. There is another Z owner that I hang out with sometimes and he lives about 1/2 mile from me. Seems there is always something going on.

Things are better when the weather is nicer...car shows and stuff like that. We need to get together for a Hooter's cruise and a go kart day! Welcome to the area.

Very good vette club here called the "Rat Pack". Do a search, they do all sorts of stuff all year round.

Great bunch of people.

Sounds like some good times are to be had, especially when summer rolls around! Hooters and some karts sounds like a hella good time.

Rat pack, the only way to go!! We do track rentals a few times a year which is great fun. Steve and Julie set up alot of events with the Rat pack and I'm sure they will post when they see this. Welcome to the dark side!!

Welcome redls1gto! The Ratpack is an 'unofficial' Corvette club...no dues, no meetings, just fun gatherings.....and all are welcome. Hope to see you at an event soon!

I'm liking this "unofficial" thing! I tried to look up Jenro's as was mentioned earlier in this post, but all I came up with was a coffee shop at Independence and Haygood. Is that the place I'm looking for??

p.s. It's a sunny saturday... what's going on today?!?!?!?

This is the place your looking for. Show up around 4pm. Show runs from 3pm - whenever. I attended whenever I could. Lots of great cars, and not just corvettes.

As for the Ratpack. They meet once a month at a different Hooters. Check out the Vette's at Waterside car show and look for the different threads they post in this section. Probably the best group I've hung out with in a long time!

It's never been the dark side but it is the corvette club...I pop up now and then for dyno day etc. but I'm not a corvette owner so I make myself scarce.

Just watch this section of the forum. When an event comes up, show up. Nothing more than that unless you need to register for something like the Hooters at waterside coming up. Most events you just show up and have a good time. They use to do some spur of the moment cruises where you explore some VA back roads. It's also know as spirited driving by some. It was a lot of fun.
