Hosted by the Aquia Creek Corvette Club of Stafford, VA, this event is always a nice way to kick off the spring season
Here are the details from the ACCC site - (I have been, the past 4 or 5 years - sometimes, as many as 100+ Vettes in a row )

I know I'm allergic to crabs and shell fish, then last year at Capt Billy's I got a reaction to the flounder. The first time I ever ate hard shell crabs was at Pope's Creek and I used to down pounds of steamed shrimp with Bud(weiser) at a place on Rt 235 in St. Mary's County. Now all I can eat is fresh trout. I live near Annapolis and can't eat shellfish. Getting old is a bitch!
I'll have to pass this year. But maybe I'll pick up the cruise at the meet point in Dahlgren just for the drive. It's fun to watch people fly off into the corn fields trying to keep up with Chef Annie.
I'll try to get out to this one. Last years was a lot of fun, although part of my fun was playing catch-up driving down I-95 40 minutes after everyone else left the rest-stop and catching up when everyone got to the intermediate stop at the big parking lot.

Get there a bit early for sure -
I am looking forward to this, as it has really flown up this year - seems like 2006 JUST began

If memory serves me right...we change the clocks to Daylight Saving Time....so we go ahead on hour that Saturday night correct???
This year was by far, the worst - worse than the 2 hour steak incident
My oldest daughter & I went - we were maybe 12 or so cars back from the front - got to the front door after parking only to be greeted by a sign stating, "NO CRABS TODAY!"
O.K., so we didn't leave... We went inside and with most tables empty still, the hostess said, "grab a seat anywhere..."
My daughter said, "Daddy, let's sit here," pulling out a chair - a lady barked - SOMEBODY is sitting THERE - it's TAKEN - caps emphasize the fact that some woman, 8 times my daughters age, felt the need to make it SO known that she was saving an entire table of 16 chairs
We found another place to sit - no big deal I suppose
We ordered shrimp, since the sign on the door said there were no crabs...
While we were waiting for our shrimp imperial, we noticed a plate of snow crab (legs) go by - WTH Maybe some clarification is in order - no BLUE crabs... Plenty of snow crab clusters
I will tell you this Bluewasp - RKreigh hit the gas at the turnoff and kept going, heading towards Rt.5 - possibly the smartest guy in the group, he missed NOTHING.
$40.00 for a plate of 6 shrimp imperial and a kids shrimp boat - Next year, I am staying home. We will not be back again

This event is always "crap" I've never heard a good thing about it. Why waste gas!

Bluewasp, with the first year that I went (2001) leaving such a favorable impression, I returned the following year.
That next year, was when the steaks for the ladies took 2 hrs. I think - or maybe that was the year after...
Anyways, what really set me off, was the rudeness of OTHER VETTE PEOPLE - that lady (and I use that term loosely! ) and her attitude towards my daughter.
As you have probably come to realize, my oldest daughter is one of the most well behaved children - complete w/ good manners This B*T%H was just plain RUDE
As I said before, I won't be back, ever!
For $40.00, my wife could have picked up 1 doz crabs from Spfld Seafood (plus a few extra, since the guy likes her ) or, we could crack 'em all afternoon at Tim's - if they are indeed still open(???)
