I would like to thank everyone who helped make this glorious victory possible.
(namely the fast SS drivers who didn't show up this week.)

I left early on Monday moring so I have not had a chance to see or even respond to any of the posts of our event...what a great time to say the least.
(posted this on the CCR web) That was without a doubt the most challenging event I have yet to attempt with the new powerplant in my car. By FAR!! I was actually hitting close to 70mph by the end of the straight and while the RPM was passing only 5,000 RPM the rear tires were spinning on the straight. At the braking point then into full lock understeer and followed IMMEDIATELY by snap oversteer while just rolling into the throttle in second gear. This was using 315 wide Race Slicks!!! Ohhhh yes this will be an interesting year to say the least 8-)
All of us ARE without a DOUBT becoming much much better drivers. I very please that I came sooooo close to Pats time. Finished 13th overall (minus the go cart). That was probably the most skillful I have ever driven any vehicle in my life....ohhhhh so challeging BUT ohhhhh so FUN!!

I managed a 46.580 last sunday -- with double the horespower, you must have run twice as fast.. like a 23.25...right?

Atleast
What I really get so excited about is the fact that still NONE of us are still not even at the true potential of our cars yet What I have ALWAYS said since my very first Auto-X (3) years ago..."The car is capable of much more....but I'm not yet"....Statment is still ture today...actually probably more so now than ever.
Probably the reason I really looked up to D1 when I first started and now Pat, Charles, Donna and Andy now as I know that each of them ARE in fact better drivers than I am currently. I closely video and study everyone who turns better times than I do so I can constantly get better every race. To me this is where most of the fun is truely at!
All I need is some race rubber/wheels and yall can all chase my times --1.7 sec of Rick and 3 sec off Pat. The difference was at least 5 sec when the switch over began
The gap between those with them and me gets closer and closer. I'd get me some if I could quit buying new cars!
