Its always fun to attend this show. Every year it gets bigger and this year was the largest attended Sterling Show ever. I counted over 150 cars, by 11:00 AM and they still were arriving. There was one line of Vettes that was represented of at least 3 cars from each generation. I counted about 40 Corvettes, and not all were parked together. Matt brought out his Midyear with the LT1 Supercharger, and it took best of show...well deserved. Several vettes were winners...Job Well done.
The weather was perfect, but soooo man different types of cars attended. This was the largest display of MOPAR I have ever seen, and there was a beautiful 69 Charger Hemi...and a 440 Magnum GTX..along with Road Runners, Cornets, and some Cuda's...
Of course there were rods, lowriders, customs, and classics....just a great show, well attended, and some really nice people to talk too.
for the organizers (Debbie and her son David, who has MS and is doing fine)...just great weather and a good time.... But most of all, all the procedes go for Jerry's Kids, and that's a good cause....
The show has been going on for over 15 years on Labor Day Week-end. The show is to support MS (Debbie started the show as her son David has MS). For the most recent several years the show is being held at NOVA Community College on Route 7. The show is well known in Sterling, as it's considered a "major" annual event. This year there was about 200 cars, possibly more, of all types. Mainly modified and restored Muscle Cars....MANY MOPARs this year,,,top notch restorations. Some of the cars you find at CF on Friday nights were there. About 30 plus Corvettes showed up, many you never see but are in the area. Several NVCC folks were there. Many of the same cars go to Clifton, VA for their show the next day. On route 7 both on the North and South Lanes they had some flashing road signs the past month displaying show info....I am surprized you never heard about this show....many of the NVCC folks use to go and it in the past it was put on their schedule of events, Andre, Marsha, etc. have gone...next year same time and same place, home you

First I heard of it and my wife is from Sterling so we are out that way every week.

Chris,
I posted this on the schedule of events last year and couldn't get any members to go, since it was on a holiday weekend, most were with their families or out of town, and understandably so. Any events over holiday weekends (this one as well as the Clifton show) are usually announced at GBMs as an FYI, put into the newsletter, etc, so those that can make it can go.
Since our club usually has something going on almost every weekend social-wise, it is unrealistic of me to expect members to go to everything. Been a busy season but not gonna complain, since winter is most definitely on its way See you soon!
