Default SE Florida-Help The Victims Of Katrina

Horsepower Sales, in Pompano Beach, has partnered with a local aviation company that will be flying supplies into New Orleans every Friday for as long as the support is needed.
What we ask is that you drop off BABY ITEMS. This would consist of items such as diapers, wipes, baby food, formula and the like.
We will then make sure it reaches the plane each week. This is going to be a very long haul for the people of the Gulf States and the humanitarian efforts are only just beginning. Let's show the power of this great Forum and it's members.
Horsepower Sales is located at 2250-2 NW 15th Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33069. Exit I-95 West on Copans Rd. approx 1/4 mile to 15th Ave and turn left. Horsepower Sales is the first building on the left coming down 15th Ave. Our phone number is 954-782-6700. You can also email us at sales@horsepowersales.biz
The victims of Katrina need our help. God speed and thank you.
Rog Preston

Great Roger. I'll pick up some baby formula sometime this weekend. How about water?

This is a great thing. I looked into loading an 18 wheeler full of supplies, but this is much better. I will contact everyone I know about this and either have them drop off items at your store, or I will plan a pick-up day and bring it in.

The water is appreciated but unfortunately is very heavy for the plane to carry. We want to get as much there each week as possible but we're only using a 12 passenger twin engine Cessna. Unfortunately it doesn't have the load capacity to carry everything plus the water.
Again, really appreciate everything you are doing to help.

Crap! (pun intended) wish I'd read this before I saw you today for my tune, my 12 day old boy has already outgrown the 1st size of diapers and I've got a bunch. I'll bring them up tomorrow with a bit of luck.

Great move.

Wow!! Maybe we ought to start thinking about getting Michael fitted for his first "racing suit".Can't wait to get to see both the boys.
OBTW, you do know how lucky you are-a 2 year old corvette fanatic, a very healthy new baby and a wife that put's up with our passion for these cars.
Hope we can race tonight -keep your fingers crossed for good weather!
Roger

Sounds real good Roger!

I'll try and bring some supplies up with me tonight if the weather holds for the CC.

I think Joe's baby will need adult sized diapers within 6 months!

Roger - thanks for very kind words!!! I am a very lucky guy, I thank God every day.

Unfortunately, family keeps me from racing tonight. But, it's probably a good thing. Knowing me, I would not be able to resist ripping on that new clutch and that would not be a good idea!

Add powdered formula to my list. I've got quite a stash of that and diapers that I'll bring up this week.

TTT. With two kids under 3, I cannot imagine the heartache these folks have. Let's help everyone!

Thanks to all who have PM'd, called and already dropped items off. Thanks to John & Dino for bringing all that stuff to the Corvette Challenge race last night. Randy-thanks for taking it home for me in your trailer. Will catch up with you this week.
Again, thanks to everyone so far. Your generosity shows what the members of this forum are all about.
