We had a very impressive line up of Vettes. The gang from Columbia came up and we had a great time. Yes, it was hot and humid. Our gang did okay. Andy took first and I took second in BSP. Jed was once again, the fastest in our gang, but there were a few guys in his class that could really fly. All Jed needs is RUBBER. Look out Rick. BTW, Rick was a DNS (did not start) as his engine had a funny ticking which was related to the valve train and wisely choose not to run. Fun day!

Are you sure Rick just didn't have a fuel mix problem.

Andy, please tell your wife how much we appreciate the great burgers and brats. You must be living right to find one like that.

I second that, Andy!

Had a great time - 4 tenths of a second separated first from third place in ASP!!! A VERY close (and fun) competition!!!

And I showed her this thread....At the trophy presentation there was a mention of the fact that there was so many Vettes there today(11 racing and more for moral support) and that there might be a Miata vs Vette challenge.... As the only member of "our people" I said"Let us set up the course....and ....bring it on"

Sorry to everyone that I had to bolt out of there early, but I had to get the car back to get it checked out plus I had Leona there to follow me back at that time. I was more upset about not being able to participate then I was about the damage

Well the sound got much worse as I pulled into my drive way...(It definately without a doubt would have failed if I would have raced yesterday)..one of the few wise decisions I have made in my life Broken valve spring atleast..but may be worse as the metal to metal sounds became much louder. Pulling the heads this week to look at the cylinders for damage so wish me luck.
