Default New Cylinder heads

We got a new set of heads from Allpro to play with for the race car. They are Distributed by Callies.
I'll attach some pics..They are bare cast, will have some flow data after the weekend hopefully to see how thye are in raw form. The company is working on a CNC program for them, but we cant wait.
Some feature, some of which we needed badly is a 3/4" or thick deck.
Machined pedetal area tbig enough to fit Jesel rockers. The valve seat opening area will support a 2.100 valve and there are other enhancements to minimize deck deflection. Also..check out the material in the port around the valves . They have a lot of neet stuff in the works like canting the valve to fit even bigger in, but thats further down the road.

Phil

Phil,
Are these made by Brodex? I heard they were working on an ls1 head. Good luck with them.

Oooooo... pretty...

Big exhaust ports and reinforced head bolt bosses... nice Looks like the head bolt boss design will help in distribution of clamp force... something that is needed on the GenIII 4 bolt design.

Hey Phil, ya gonna use 1/2 head studs?

Not sure on the 1/2", currently the M11 should provide more than enough load it was a matter of head structure to distribute it all.

I will ask If I can provide mfg details yet..they are kinda hush hush right now cause its early and they have a lota work on the CNC program to do.

Ok..added a pic to the first post...Got permission.

Callies is going to be/is the master distributor and driving force behind them. They are using "AllPro" to mfg them, and if you know small block chevy, particularly roundy round racing you would know Allpro.

More info to follow...

Have you guy ever noticed I always put this stuff here for the cool FI people and not in C5Tech...hahahah

Phil, how about a pic of the intake ports? What size are the chambers? Any idea on the price? I think they would make a killer FI head

Phil why do you need that badly, whats going on? Don't get me wrong I always hear that a thicker deck is better for clamping down on, and being able to use larger valve springs is obviously better. How big is the deck on the heads that Harlan uses??

The intake pic I took didnt come out that well I will add to the first post.
This set is 59cc.... But it really early to figure out where they will wind up..Its just the begining...One of the coolest thing is the fact it can run a large valve with minimal shrouding from the valve seat and throat

These heads were at the PRI trade show and yes, they are made by All-Pro and for now distributed bt Callies. All-Pro does some killer sprint car stuff and the design here is somewhat similar in thinking by the looks of things, like the runner size, port design, spring pockets size, rocker stand area, etc.. The intake runners are a big 237cc and a cast finish, but flow numbers are down some for a port that big. After some work this may be a viable option for a heavy forced induction car or big cubes (427+). Hope this helps.

Mike Norris
