I'LL SEE THE 2006 ZO6 tomorrow morning
My son and I are going to the LA Auto show tomorrow for the first public showing of the C6 ZO6 ( thanks to Forum member Janet Curran) I have read the recent auto magazines but there's nothing like seeing it in person. I'm taking my digital camera and will post pics on the Forum.

when can we put a deposit one one. I'm sold, can't wait put down the $$$$$ for a black on black. The specs are much better than the c6. just read the specs and I'm sure you'll line up next

With all the problems the standard C6 is having (recalls; stop builds on MN6 & power top convertible cars) I'm not real sure I'd buy the first year car, especially at $70k. Remember the infamous oil consumption problem with the '01-'02 cars? I'll wait until the hype dies down.

I would guess the price of the Z06 427 would be in the $70,000 range based on the figures of the ZR1. I figure at least $20,000 for the engine on top of the base price of the car. But Motor Trend is predicting $75,000, to $ 85,000. 
It will be interesting to see GM's final figures. At any rate this car is awesome. There has not been this much excitement about a Corvette performance package since Corvette made available a 4 speed with a fuel injected engine in the same car. Then over 30 years later the ZR1. 
GM has really hit a home run with this one.
I only wish it would come in a Convertible.
