Congratulations Rob. You did it the hard way, catching him from behind down by two points.

Congratulations Rob !!! Winning the final race is nice way to end the season for sure !!

Also congratulations to JPee himself!! runner up is no small task in itself!! & combine that with the fact that in the last race it was down to just the two of you is quite impressive.

Both of you had an excellent season this year!

However, Rob..... taking out JP is a direct violation of the Panuzzo Racing mandate I'm wondering if youre still going to be on "the Team" in 2005

Congrats... You won it & "EARNED" by winning the last race.. & you did not back into a win by me losing to Dave T. in our 2nd race..Good job !!

I just have to ask... do you think Dave would have asked for a rematch if he won the first race ?

John I was entitled to the rerun. I hope there is no hard feelings. But I think the real question is if I won the first race would you have asked for a rematch. I think so! Remember you yourself said you cut the .222 light because you also were not ready for the tree to come down.

Dave

I know if my dial is wrong I wont stage... if I have DEEP on my window, & the tree comes down, & I'm NOT yet in I would just not MOVE & let the starter SEE .. I haven't deep staged.. I think deep staging is a courtesy not a rule... At most tracks if you are not in deep when the tree starts its your problem..

When I ran the Pro Dash in qualifying I had DEEP on my window for the Pro Tree.. & the starter hit the tree before I was DEEP I just did NOT MOVE.. I pointed to DEEP on my window & the tower agreed to let me re stage...

If a person had the wrong dial & stages it his fault... I think you should not have left the line, let the starter SEE you were NOT yet deep..

However what done is done, & Rob won the CC fair, & left no doubt to the winner as he went all the way today, & he SHOULD be the points champ...

As for me I think this year the CC should have been only 9 races long

Next year is another year.. good luck to you, all the rest of the CC racers.. I'll be giving it hell again ..

congrats Rob on the win! and JP on great season, your the only one who made it winning the 1st round every race!

At my home track (New England Dragway) it it the racers responsibility to make sure they get deep staged, NOT the tracks, just like its up to the racer to make sure the dial on the board is correct, it is even in print in the racer handbook clearly stating deep staging is not gaurnteed and it is up to the driver to make sure they get deep staged, of course every track seems to do things differently and unless its in a E-town rule book somewhere i guess its the starters call

If I did not leave the line and just sat there I had no chance of winning the round and ran the risk of not getting a rerun.

I believe staging deep is an E-Town rule and not necessarily a courtesy. If it was viewed as a courtesy and made known then I would be in deep long before my opponent was staged. In any event see you next year and good luck.
