Default Got my windows tinted...

I just got my windows tinted. I think it looks good. Check it out. I haven't seen any pics of C6s with tint so I thought I'd post some.

It sure makes that car look Baadddd. But how do you give the corvette wave? No one can see you.

Thanks for the pics.

Make sure you go to an experienced tint place, because I went to 2 before I found a guy that felt like he could do it right. I watched him do it and the back window alone took him 45min. I got the price over the phone which was $125, and after doing the job he said the next C6 would be $170 or higher.

What did you choose on tint %? Are you happy with that level tint?

BTW - It looks awesome. We will definitely tint being in Florida for sun/temp reasons.

Great looking ride.....

The back window is one piece. The side windows are 30%, back is 15%. That's the darkest legal here in FL. Yes I'm very happy with the darkness, and the film they used has titanium in it. It lasts very very long.

Dsob15 -- thank you for the spec's. Look forward to following your lead with the tinting on a mag red - just need the car --- TPW in two weeks. Wishing you all the best, maybe our paths will cross at some Florida event.

have you used the nav since you tinted? I read that you shouldn't use metallic tinting with the nav antenna......any problems?

thanks!

I did not even think about the tint being metallic and the nav issue. It hasn't been a problem yet though.

Looks nice. Got mine tinted also. How did they handle those 'dot matrix' areas-especially along the top of the hatch window? Tinted over mine and it looks good-if I'm not happy with those areas, they say the next step to tint around that area and use black tape over those pesky dots. I also got the wind shield tinted (across the top) - did you? -better then those visors. Cost me 250. life time guarantee. (3M tint)

The dot matrix thing actually was a problem. It's still noticeably lighter in those dot areas, but over time as the moister goes away it should get better. I like that black tape idea.... No, I didn't get tint across the top of the front window because it's already smoked black in that area.

my understanding is that the antenna in the front is Onstar only....the nav antenna is internal. What if you did not have Onstar....then where?

do you have the clear top? what color does it lean towards....blue, grey, black, etc?
