Harder to sell Onstar when 1 of the features is opening electric door locks.
Wish you could set so doors don't lock automatically at xxMPH

So just a question but really important: Can On Star override anything you have set on the DIC or Fob's? Also, Tracy showed how you can open the hatch, throw in the FOB and lock er up, with you standing outside. If that happens, can you call On Star from your cell phone and give them the VIN #, or can they only deal with a call that was initiated from the car?

Locking the fob in the car is one thing... but the C6 is the first car ever that lets you drive many miles without a FOB in the car at all because your wife had it with her when you dropped her off at work.

Car stays running, but you can't start it again after you shut it off.

Somebody posted that this happened to them a couple months ago.

Yes it was me I got to Habor Frt and turned it off, display say no fob detected had to use handle on floor to open the door. I beleive if you don't hit the off button again you can restart within the next 5 minutes haven't tried that yet.

Yes, you can call OnStar (1-888-4 OnStar) to unlock your doors for you if you have OnStar service, which everyone does for the first year after purchasing an OnStar equipped vehicle.
What you do is call OnStar on any phone and give them your super secret PIN. If you have not yet set up a PIN with OnStar then the last 4 digits of the phone number you gave them at setup will act as your default PIN. After giving them that number they will magically unlock your doors for you. However, I recommend you set up a PIN with them.

And no, OnStar can not mess with your personal setting on the car.

This is the only and I mean only beef I have about the car. The FOB not being read or noticed while at the back of the vehicle to allow someone to enter a door. You can open the trunk but a passenger has to wait for you to open their door or for you to get the driver door open before their door will open.

Thanks. I guess the C6 is still not idiot-proof, so a modicum of sense and responsibility is still required. Gosh, GM can never get it right!

Yes, this is correct. Just for verification, I checked my settings. I do have the passive door unlock set to "BOTH". When I stand at the back of my car and press the unlock key on the FOB, a person standing near the driver-side door can open it, but a person standing near the passenger door cannot open that one first.
