Default High Mounted Stop Light with 44 LED Lights

The High mounted stop light should be ready to ship in two to four weeks. I know a lot of you are waiting for this product and we want to make sure it is ready for your C6. We have posted more pictures on our web site www.vettepitstop.com and will have more pictures soon with the light on different color C6's. You won't be disappointed when you see this light on your car.

That was the way the C6 was designed, full length LED. It didn't pass the Federal rear impact bumper test as it broke on impact. In the real world, having 44 LED's might help keep some fool from hitting you in the first place.

Can't wait for mine to be delivered.

The sad part is that this costs less than buying the painted version from GM. I think I know what I'll end up with.

Im sure thats what GM would like all of you to think, Why didn't it break on the XLR? Im sure it was just cost there is NO reason they could not have put a similar piece on C6. That cheapo black plastic thing saved them a couple bucks per unit profit thats all.

Tom Peters is the one who said that at a Birthday Bash seminar in April. The XLR has a different rear cover and the light might have more protection.

Because, as is plainly visible to most of us, the XLR is shaped differently. In case you didn't notice, the XLR has an actual bumper which sticks out, whereas the Corvette's entire rear end is the bumper.

XLR. Notice bumper that sticks out.

Corvette. Notice full-height use of rear end as a bumper.

Why oh why do people speak before thinking!?

Both look good to me.
However, I have black, and after a few coats of Zaino the "flat black" plastic surrounding the rear brake light has taken on a fairly "high gloss" shine.
The Zaino has actually polished and glossed this up real good.
Now I don't have to spend any $$ on this cosmetic mod
However, I can't wait to see what "Mr. Corsa" will be charging that new exhaust I am waiting for him to put out...........

Because BigYellow04 is C5Xpert using a different Forum name. He can change his name but his smells the same.
