Water In Side Mirrors
Has The C6 Addressed The Water That Drains Out The Bottom Of Mirrors After You Wash The Car, My 94,96,98,2001,all Have Had To Put A Diaper Under The Mirrors For Several Hours After Washing To Keep From Putting A Water Mark Down The Doors. Maybe Someone Knows The Answer, I Know I'm Not The Only One Concerned With This, Its A Pain To Use The Air Hose Eveytime

As does the top. Water trickles down the side windows for quite a while after washing.

Just drill a small hole in the bottom center of each mirror it works great. Use some clear touch up to seal the paint in the hole area and your done no water. Look into the mirror to make sure there is nothing in that area before you drill, and you are good to go.

When I wash my cars, I use a leaf blower to get the water out of these types of areas then I use the micro fiber drying towel to finish up. It work very well and speeds up the process.

Both the NCM and Mid America Motorwerks sell a plastic cover for the C5 you can install before you wash the car that keeps water out of the mirror housings. Its made of a very soft pliable material. I've been using them for several months on my C5 with no problems. If the C6 mirrors are the same size as the C5 mirrors should work just fine. One of these days I'll get my C6 and try it out. Right now the C6 is sitting in the lot at BG, passed the transmission check, but now on a batch hold...

Here's my solution.
This is how I fixed the problem. Works great! Got it from a Forum sponsor with their recent 15% discount offer.
