Nope. Still holds water.

As does the top. Water trickles down the side windows for quite a while after washing.

Just drill a small hole in the bottom center of each mirror it works great. Use some clear touch up to seal the paint in the hole area and your done no water. Look into the mirror to make sure there is nothing in that area before you drill, and you are good to go.

Electric leaf blower. Works for mirrors, side markers, rear taillights, etc.

The side mirrors are just the right size for a small hamster. If you place one in each mirror, they will drink the water, thus eliminating the problem.

This is the best method I've found with my C5. Takes only a few minutes and your car is bone dry. I would hesitate drilling any holes in bottom of my mirror housing, although some guys have done this.

You can also "fold" the mirror before driving this expels some water as well, but the drilling method really takes care of it once and for all.

Actually, I agree with the drill a hole idea. I would recommend placing a piece of tape on the mirror first so that you don't chip the paint, and then maybe even inserting a rubber gromet in the hole, but the grommet isn't really necessary. Definatly paint the raw edges though.

Drilling holes in the mirror can create a whistle.

When I wash my cars, I use a leaf blower to get the water out of these types of areas then I use the micro fiber drying towel to finish up. It work very well and speeds up the process.

Both the NCM and Mid America Motorwerks sell a plastic cover for the C5 you can install before you wash the car that keeps water out of the mirror housings. Its made of a very soft pliable material. I've been using them for several months on my C5 with no problems. If the C6 mirrors are the same size as the C5 mirrors should work just fine. One of these days I'll get my C6 and try it out. Right now the C6 is sitting in the lot at BG, passed the transmission check, but now on a batch hold...

Move to Lake Havasu City, AZ....it never rains here, and you hardly ever need to wash your car. Maybe 3 times a year.

My C6 is on hold,too.

Maybe they're trying to get the water out of the mirrors after the last rain.

Sorry, I can imagine how I'd feel if I had one waiting.

Default Here's my solution.

This is how I fixed the problem. Works great! Got it from a Forum sponsor with their recent 15% discount offer.

Bad advise...many people have found out the hard way that the mirrors will sometimes break if you do this repeatedly.
