Default LED Accent lighting

Added some accent lighting using LED's instead of neon tubes. Easy DIY project, if interested.

If I did it I would have stuck with one color, and on white I am not sure what color I would pick, maybe just white LEDs. Nevertheless, good job and it looks cool.

I've just now put up instructions (with photos) on how to build this project for less than 10 bucks!! This assumes you have some odds and ends laying around.

The most important part is the LED's. I'm not plugging one company over another. In fact, I think it was a link here or somewhere similar for the same LED lights.

Check out this link for buying LED's - seem to be good prices

Again, not recommending one place over anohter. Just found this out of hundreds of places that sell LED's. They do have a nice tutorial on them as well.

Click Here for Instructions to build you own DIY accent lights

The instuctions are at the bottom of the page and are in .PDF format.

Let me know if any questions or comments....

Nice job!

IMHO, this is no more rice than painted flames or chrome engine dress-up kits. It doesn't diminish or defeat any performance or safety aspect of the car, it's just for looks, just like flame jobs, chrome, flush tail-lights, etc.

That does look cool. I'm probably too lazy to do it to mine since I've been riding around with only one of the screens installed in that same area. The other one fell out about six months ago. Funny thing is, I actually had the screen to go back into the passenger side cove in my hand this morning. Put it back on the work bench and walked out. Wonder how the white lights would look on a Torch Red in that area?
