Default Official answer to manual transmission problem

Below is an email quote I received concerning the manual transmission issue from yesterday.

Frank

Statement on 2005 Corvette manual transmission issue, Thurs., Oct. 7, 2004

A non-safety-related quality issue was found with the 2005 Tremec T56
6-speed manual transmission, which is used in the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette.
We are working to identify and correct a small number of the transmissions
that may exhibit some chattering, grinding or vibration in fifth gear.
Current Corvette production is unaffected.

Mike, thanks for the compliment, but Marvin & Kevin are the real special people and I tip my hat to them.
