Any one know if "on the front of the vehicle" could mean inside the front window. Currently that is my plan, I carry it in the car with double stick tape ready to go. Could just be fooling myself, but I just can't do this yet. Maybe a ticket with extreme prejudice will help! Lets keep each other posted.

This bracket certainly is better than GM's. But question; it appears to be a very rigid piece of steel. If you went thru a curb cut or driveway that caused the botton edge of the bracket/plate to hit the ground, I would assume you are going to cause some serious damage back at the mounting point. A hinge of some sort to allow the bracket to bend inwards at the bottom would solve that. Could you modify the design to do that?

P.S. One of VA Commonwelth's finest pulled me one day in my 99 coupe because I didn't have a front plate on that car. He said, "Son, do you know what my pet peeve is?"
I thought to myself, Serial killers?, rapists?, murderers?, deadbeat dads?
I was wrong. It was vehicles on the roads not having a front licence plate. Got a warning instead of a ticket.
I like cops but this guy took his job just a little too seriously.

Front plate
I have Shopman's front plate mount and have used it since Oct. There was no noticable change in water temp (though there have only been a few hot days in late OCt to test it). Its lightwieght, durable, and can be mounted to cause zero damage to front end.
If you do the calculations, it reduces the intake opening by about 8-10% (counting undercar opening and front grille), while the standard plate mount reduces intake air by about 3-5%. Can't say anything about turbulence it may generate - but judging by my temp gauge with mount on and off during the same conditions, there is no impact on running temp.
Only downside is it puts plate below 12" height, so truly picky states may still "write you up".....this one I will live with. The look is so much better than the stock mount, and after a number of years of installation unlike the stock unit it can be removed upon sale with no visible damage to the nose.

Floridians pay Fed income tax... just no State income tax...
This is because of tourism dollars that pour into the state!

PS. And there is plenty of income in FL, the best real estate market in the USA!

Sorry Shopman,
I may be alone, but I do not like the tag mount.
However, the battery cover I seen that you made, I like.
No disrespect to your talents and I live in FL so the tag is not an issue.

But this is not the politics forum so I won't get into it here.
I will say that wealthy people pay more in income tax than the average American earns in a year...
