I would suggest that you use a tube of silicone grease instead of a spray. It will stay in place longer and you won't have to worry about it dripping down on your visor. Also, the more common problem causing top creaking is not the latch pin but rather the weather strips. Coat those puppies with silicone grease. I clean all the weather stripping on my C-5 every 6 months and retreat it with silicone grease. Knock on wood but I have yet to hear a squeek, groan or anything like that in over 2 years and 10,000 miles. Just my 2 cents worth.
