Default Texas Speed & Performance No Longer Patriot Performance Product Dealer

This post is to notify all current and future customers that Texas Speed & Performance will no longer carry Patriot Performance products. We are taking a different approach in an effort to focus on other vendors' products.

Please do not use this post to bash. This is simply to inform the corvetteforum community of our decision.

Trevor Doelling & Jason Mangum
Co-Owners, Texas Speed & Performance, Ltd.

6 months ago we we initiated a buy in on the Patriots from you.
Upon testing and inspection from two other flow benches - we
declined. However your customer service was excellent and look
forward to doinig business with you again. Ron

Thank you for standing up for the consumers on this one. Hopefully Patriot will take this as a sign they need to improve their product before going any further. If they don't, they will likely suffer the same demise as many other performance parts business we no longer remember the name of......

I have a friend I won't mention by name that is fairly noted as a head builder that told me he could make a great living just working on the patriots that came to his shop, on one occasion he could see daylight around an intake valve that was seated on a new set---its a shame but good for you for working with them and you gave them plenty of time to correct the mistakes--

Thanks for taking the time to write the lengthy letter explaining the reasons you decided to drop the Patriot line of heads. I'm sure that writing the letter was not an easy thing to do, but the right thing is never easy to do and usually does not win any popularity contest. I remember a while ago how you guys posted
a similar letter of product that was dynoed and not up to expectations. I hope that you know that when I need to make a purchase in the future, that you have won my vote of confidence and I'm sure I speak of others also.

Thanks,

A little late for my buddy. These heads will end up costing several thousand b the time he's done. When this head came off, we couldn't believe what we were looking at.

In addition, the tops of the valves were literally shearing off.
